Thanks to the wonderful option of binge-watching TV I got to watch Friday Night Lights. I missed it when it was on weekly in the US. Oh, the joy of Amazon Prime. For those who didn’t see the show or as a reminder, the football coach says the following phrase to his team before each game, “Clear eyes, Full hearts” and the team responds, “Can’t lose.” Throughout the 5 seasons of the show, yes, I binged watched them all, this phrase was referred to as it relates to the football team and winning. For me these words took on such a different meaning.

Our paths in life are so often determined by what is driving us emotionally, which impacts what we choose to see. When we work towards having intentions that are clear and defined, things tend to start to feel easier. “Clear eyes.” Gratitude for all that we have, a sense of purpose and joy, are the things that create fulfillment. “Full heart.”

When I started binge watching the show I never thought I would identify such a powerful statement for life. When we clearly understand where we are headed, have hearts that are filled with gratitude, love and joy, we can’t lose. “Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose.”

But Life is messy and gets hard and there are times when having clear eyes and a full heart is difficult. How do I get through the fog? How do I find purpose?

Let me help. Corey
